Ya lo dijo William Morris, “no tengas nada en tu hogar que no sepas útil o no creas bello”. Y es en este cruce entre pensamiento y seducción es que la ilustración aporta su saber más preciado, el de dar luz al alma de los objetos.

En 2017, en el marco del Mercado de Industrias Culturales Argentinas, se llevó a cabo un proyecto curatorial que reunió a cinco ilustradoras destacadas por su trayectoria en el mundo editorial, las artes plásticas y la publicidad, con el objetivo de visibilizar cómo sus universos visuales aportan valor a la industria nacional mediante sus aplicaciones textiles.

El laboratorio de ilustración se integró a otros dedicados al bordado, el tejido y la estampación serigráfica, en un homenaje colectivo a la obra del diseñador, artista y artesano William Morris.

William Morris once said, “have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful.” It is in this intersection of thought and allure that illustration brings forth its most valuable knowledge: illuminating the soul of objects.

In 2017, as part of the Argentine Cultural Industries Market, a curatorial project was carried out, bringing together five illustrators renowned for their careers in publishing, fine arts, and advertising. The project aimed to highlight how their visual worlds add value to the national industry through textile applications.

The illustration laboratory joined others focused on embroidery, weaving, and screen printing, in a collective homage to the work of designer, artist, and craftsman William Morris.
